Developing skills related to HPC use is becoming increasingly important in today’s industrial and research ecosystems. EuroCC@Grecce aims to address the training and skills needs in Greece. At EuroCC@Greece, we offer a structured Training Series designed to equip researchers, professionals, and students with essential High-Performance Computing (HPC) skills. Our training programs cover a broad spectrum of topics, from fundamental principles to specialized applications in various scientific and industrial fields.

HPC Online Course (MOOC)

The “Introduction to High-Performance Computing” MOOC provides a comprehensive overview of supercomputing technologies and parallel programming concepts. It covers the evolution of HPC systems, data processing technologies, and parallel computing fundamentals, including algorithms and scalability challenges. Participants will also explore modern HPC architectures, programming tools such as OpenMP, MPI, and CUDA, as well as applications in data analysis, AI, and simulation. Designed for students, engineers, and industry professionals, this course equips learners with essential skills for utilizing HPC in scientific and industrial environments. Basic programming knowledge is recommended. The MOOC is available through the National Academy of Digits Skills.

  • Explore a collection of video lectures on HPC-related topics, coming from all sorts of training providers, universities, HPC centers, vendors, etc., which have been identified and approved as very useful for potential HPC users. 
  • Discover the available sources for training in Greece and Europe. You can visit the  “HPC/HPDA/AI training repository” in which, through keywords or filtering by domain, course type,  institution, or your level of readiness, you can find all kinds of relevant training in Greece on AI and HPC. Currently, 421 relevant training programs have been identified, mainly bachelor’s or master’s degrees and a few summer schools, webinars, and HPC specialized courses.
