Forschungszentrum Jülich has announced a major breakthrough for European supercomputing: JUPITER has officially become the first supercomputer in Europe to reach 1 ExaFLOP/s, marking a new milestone for scientific and technological innovation across the continent.

 

Developed within the framework of EuroHPC Joint Undertaking, JUPITER positions Europe among the global leaders in exascale computing, enabling new possibilities in climate modelling, medicine, materials science and AI. It represents a significant step toward strengthening Europe’s digital sovereignty and research capabilities.
