As of 3 December 2025, the second open call of FFplus for Innovation Studies (Type 2) is officially open. This call targets European SMEs and start-ups active in generative AI and HPC for large- to extreme-scale computing resources, seeking to scale up their applications with high-performance computing. Selected proposals may receive up to €300,000 in funding and gain access to large-scale HPC systems, including those offered by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking.

A consortium can include 1–5 partners (one SME plus supporting research or industry partners). The submission deadline is 25 February 2026, 17:00 Brussels time, or earlier if 250 proposals are received.

This is a unique chance for AI-driven SMEs to leverage HPC resources, accelerate development, and transform ideas into scalable solutions.
