Within the framework of the EuroCC project, on Thursday 11 December 2025, the National School of Public Administration and Local Government (ESDDA), an educational unit of the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government (EKDDA) visited the National Centre for Scientific Research ‘’Demokritos’’, participating in a focused knowledge-exchange session held at the Library of NCSR  ‘’Demokritos’’. 

The visit featured two presentations highlighting the role of advanced digital technologies in innovation and public administration. Dr. Manos Kanourgiakis, Collaborating Researcher at NCSR ‘’Demokritos’’, presented “High-Performance Computing: A Tool for Driving Innovation”, outlining how supercomputing infrastructures support scientific research and data-driven innovation. Dr. Giorgos Giannakopoulos, Senior Functional Scientist (Grade B) at NCSR ‘’Demokritos’’, Head of the INSANE Research Group, and Co-founder and Scientific Director of ahedd Digital Innovation Hub (DIH), delivered the presentation ‘’Artificial Intelligence in Public Administration: Opportunities and Key Challenges”, focusing on the potential and prerequisites for the effective and responsible adoption of AI in the public sector.

The visit fostered constructive dialogue between ESDDA participants and the EuroCC community, introducing them to the HPC ecosystem and highlighting its value for the Greek digital transformation landscape through collaboration between public administration and research institutions.
